Many of Auckland's Best Walks include Beaches

Auckland might be New Zealand's largest city, but due to the unique geography, nowhere is far from open countryside. The city sits between two harbors so there are many beaches (64 to be exact), forest and woodland areas, and even extinct volcanoes to climb.
One of the best ways to explore Auckland's landscapes is to go for a walk. The city is very well set up for walkers. Many walks are close to the city and can take from a few minutes to a few hours. From the huge variety throughout the city I have selected what I consider to be the most interesting. Check them out in my story Best Auckland City Walks.

I agree, there are many places to walk in Auckland – I have been having fun discovering parts of Auckland I was totally unaware of even after living here for 23 years! It’s great to explore by foot.
